A vibrant grocery store embodying local and Syrian values

Commercial interior design project. A Rümker project.

Driven by a truly inspiring social mission, Les Filles Fattoush stands out for its commitment to the professional integration of Syrian refugee women.

Mandate

It was with deep affinity that Rümker embraced the mandate to design Les Filles Fattoush's first store, perfectly aligning with our team's human and inclusive values.

Approach

From the design phase to the official opening of this flagship grocery store, co-creation guided every step of the project. This collaborative approach allowed for the structuring of a spatial experience that is both functional and welcoming, and also ensured the launch of their activities in time for the summer season. Building on a well-established stall at Jean-Talon Market, the Les Filles Fattoush team wanted to expand its presence by adding a store offering an extended and complementary range of services.

ResultS

This vibrant and meaningful project allowed us to travel, dream, and experience the rich cultural heritage of Syria. Long live Les Filles Fattoush — and those who spread their flavors with heart and resilience.

“Syrian culture, with all its textures, colors, and flavors, inspired us to create the ambiance of a souk, with its suspended products, welcoming arches, and abundance.” - Jeremy Petrus - Designer
