Alexandre Joyce

Innovation and Sustainable Development Advisor

Joyce is a designer, business strategist and facilitator. He is our consultant dedicated to responsible innovation. He also advises management and supports innovation teams at Hydro-Québec, CAA, Cirque du Soleil, Sid Lee, Cascades and WorkLeap. He previously developed the DesjardinsLab design thinking services by adapting various methods, and inspired more than 1000 colleagues to undertake business projects. In 2016, Joyce completed his Ph.D. at Concordia University, where he created the 3-dimensional business model, to design businesses that are not only more financially profitable but also more socially and environmentally responsible.

Since 2018, he has been teaching innovation through business models at HEC. He created the first mandatory course in innovation and entrepreneurship, which is now offered to 800 students per year. He also challenges his MBA students to design more sustainable business models and then present them to the businesses they visit by biking the road between Montreal and Sherbrooke. Her hobby is volunteering on the boards of directors of non-profit organizations such as the pioneer Vélo-Québec, the local delivery coop Radish.coop and the co-working space the Pop-Up Lab.

Maxime Desjardins started his career as marketing director at O'Neill Canada, an experience that allowed him to participate in the strategic redesign of the international brand with TBWA/Chiat-Day, the agency responsible for Apple's commercial deployments. In 2010, he founded Atelier.ad, a multidisciplinary agency specialized in brand positioning, with in mind the mission of encouraging brands to innovate, in order to generate positive impacts in their respective industries.

She has contributed to impact projects ranging from DNA overhauls to supporting teams in their structuring projects, aimed at reinventing the company of tomorrow. Her concern for giving the best of herself and her positivism are reflected in the quality of her commitment. Passionate about sustainable development, she is committed to finding innovative and sustainable solutions.

Always in a quest for mindfulness, she loves to be in the forest or in a hot yoga class. You will find her biking all year long: she loves snow sports and winter for her is an endless playground.
