The international-level ECORESPONSIBLE^TM Certification, audited and issued by ECOCERT, is an ongoing structured, tried-and-tested improvement approach that allows companies to take action and meet new requirements tied to the circular economy and to lowering their carbon footprint.

The B Corp certification, for which we achieved a score of 99.5, demonstrates a commitment to an inclusive and equitable economy. Verified by B Lab, it certifies high social and environmental impact, transparency, and accountability to all stakeholders.

Environmental responsibility

At Rümker, we look forward and take responsibility for building a more sustainable future. We aim to fully integrate the principles of sustainable development into everything we do. Updating our responsible sourcing policy, designing a decision-support tool and aiming for recognition are all gestures that demonstrate our unwavering commitment to a profound and positive management transformation.

Expertise and collaboration

We believe our thirst for learning and willingness to collaborate will enable us to reach our ambitious goals. Since 2016, our teams have immersed themselves in an ongoing training process focused on responsible management, eco-design and sustainable development. Under the enlightened guidance of Frédérique - partner, operations director, and responsible consumption expert - we have developed a sustainable strategic plan. We also collaborate with sustainability specialists such as Maillon Vert, Ellio, Vrtta Green Solutions inc. the Synergie Montréal network, and Dr Alexandre Joyce.

Social responsibility

Social responsibility is very much in our DNA. Our actions truly show our dedication to the communities around us. We like to get involved in local initiatives through which we challenge our teams to integrate the principles of the circular economy in the service of a social cause. The design of food baskets that turn into a game for the children of the Montreal families we sponsor: that's the kind of challenge we like to take up!

Team well-being

Last but not least, our corporate culture is driven by a deep concern for the well-being of our teams. Mens sana in corpore sano: a healthy mind in a healthy body! Inspired by this precept, we deploy weekly activities to encourage our staff to get moving, and to raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a balance that is essential to productivity, to mental and psychological well-being.
