With studies in engineering and industrial design, work experience in Milan and undeniable perfectionist leanings, Justin is Rümker’s centre of gravity. His capacity to understand a client’s problem and respond quickly helps him find innovative solutions that respect budgets in the shortest of turnaround times.
A devoted mountaineer, he sees immersing himself in the meticulous planning of every logistical detail as part of living the full climbing experience. His conquests include one summit in Pakistan over 8000 metres in altitude.
Art director and project manager
Ukrainian by birth with the soul of a Montrealer, Irena possesses the kind or energy that inspires confidence and fosters lasting relationships with our clients. Her vivacious spirit, quick uptake of new ideas and experience in exhibit design make her an indispensable resource for the agency.
Her ability to adapt to different environments and her ceaseless curiosity find her exploring a remarkable diversity of subjects including the study of fungi and botany.
Project manager and executive assistant
Although fully equipped with schooling in design and a deep interest in the sciences, it’s as a management maven that Frédérique makes her greatest contribution at Rümker. Disciplined, reliable and with an uncommon memory, she takes part in the agency’s R&D activities and manages its inner workings.
Mirroring her tremendous diversity of talents, her interests outside of work are also incredibly varied. From team sports to world travel to cooking to crafting unique objects, she always has something going on that feeds her inner need to create and discover.
Born into a family of craftspeople and artists, Léa works materials to create pure, meaningful forms. Sensitive, imaginative and with the ability to listen, she brings a poetic touch to every project she works on. She has a “je-ne-sais-quoi” that sets her appart from the others ; her designs are refined, uncluttered and well thought of. She has design in her blood. Her incredible talent and her endearing personality makes her an essential member of our team.
In her spare time, Léa continues to define and refine her aesthetic sensibilities through painting, crafting jewelry and furniture in small runs.
Interior and industrial designer
Enthusiastic, can-do and curious, Geneviève is the team’s ball of energy. With her studies in interior and industrial design, in addition to her stage in Milan and 7 years working in the creative sphere, there’s no doubt about her passion for what she does. In tune with the emotions attached to the objects of our daily lives, Geneviève needs to understand, analyze and find innovative solutions that are a function of the user’s needs while bringing her own sensibilities to the task.
Always on the lookout for new discoveries, we’re never surprised to find her in the neighbourhood’s newest café, or at the latest indie group’s show.
Inquisitive by nature, Jean-François loves to study and comprehend anything and everything you can throw at him. This definitely explains his wide ranging expertise… and his 3 bachelor’s degrees! With a marked interest in the graphic arts, branding and designing spaces, Jean-François combines his creativity and versatility to always deliver projects on time. A keen observer of all that’s around him, Jean-François loves to stroll around town or out in nature just soaking up all the detail around him.
In summer, you can generally find him at the park with a good book or a ukulele in his hands.
Marie Chantal is crafty, energetic and meticulous and with her experience in both design and manufacturing, she is the “Swiss knife” of the team. She has many strings to her bow: she has worked for 3 years in welding, but also as a carpenter, cabinetmaker, custom furniture designer and restorer of antiques in the United Kingdom.
Her talent and contagious joie de vivre make Marie Chantal a wonderful addition to our team.
Liza makes her mark on the team thanks to her bubbly personality, her talent in design, her autonomy and her professionalism. She completed a technical training in industrial design at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal, followed by a bachelor’s degree in environmental design at UQAM. Her portfolio of well-designed and refined projects has charmed the team instantly.
With her skills and experience, Liza’s strengths are noticeable on the technical as well as on the aesthetic level.
Sophie Anne has an interior design technique from Cégep Marie-Victorin and a significant experience in interior design, project management and cabinetmaking. Her strength in technical drawings and her understanding of the production process make her an important asset to the team. She is also committed to follow different types of ongoing training, an interest that reflects her ambition and determination.
Her ability to make gin-tonics, talent highlighted in our Friday Happy Hours, quickly convinced us of her compatibility in the team.
